Brudil: Hang on. What's the issue here?
The skeletal hand points at the box it came from, presumably containing its owners remains.
Pleht and Brudil look at each other in sudden sad understanding. The skeletal hand hangs down.
Brudil: Well, you'll be glad to know: we're not here to serve Corpus.
The skeletal hand raises in a thinking gesture (with "...?" FX).

I guess they can afford to be outspoken - what else do they have to lose?

Originally, the "fuzzy lines" for the background were going to be this comic's look (and they will be for the remainder of this pilot), but... Okay, the building's old, it can have that.

Yeah, that's my explanation.
