Brudil's boot steps forward (with "STOMP!" SFX).
Brudil: ...protect... you...?
She looks up to see her body standing up, ready for impact, with a confused Pleht still on her shoulders. She tests by flexing her hand, then turns to the Slugfolk with a cocky grin.

In real life, I've felt what Brudil has many times. Perceived helplessness, and then a realization I can do something, and then nothing can stop me!

At least, until the next seemingly insurmountable obstacle comes along.

Totally haven't felt that in the production of this comic.
