I'm not sure why I set the background elements to another brush ("Ink Bleed" as opposed to "Technical Pen"). Still, I rather like the idea, and might develop it further in the future.

The ladybug turns away, one of its tusks having been bent.
Ladybug: feh!
Brudil: HRM GFF SRM!
Pleht: Hey... i-it's okay, you scared him off.
Brudil stiffens (with "GASP!" SFX) as Pleht put a hand on her shoulder.
Brudil: Wrl, hrr mur hrkhi?
Pleht: ...I'm sorry, I should've trusted you.
The two continue to talk, but the Red Slugfolk and Pink Slugfolk are creeping up.
Brudil: Nrph, nrph, hrr spthkff nf mur hur hrkh!
Pleht: Ah, right, the bucket. Let me think...
Pleht reaches into his coat again.
Pleht: Heh, t-truth be told, I'm having a hard time understanding you.
Brudil: Mur fnk?
Pleht pulls out a crowbar and considers using it.
Pleht: Hmm... No, that's a bit much...
He carelessly tosses the crowbar behind him, and it lands (with "CLANG!" SFX).
Slugfolk: OUCH!
