Duke Corpus: YOU THERE!
Yellow Slugfolk: Eep!
The Yellow Slugfolk approaches Corpus's throne.
Duke Corpus: Pray tell, who are those encroaching on my abode?
Yellow Slugfolk: W-well, sir... one was a swift wizard in yellow.... the other was a wall of a warrior, clad in strange armor.
The Yellow Slugfolk's vague descriptions give room for visuals that are quite unlike Pleht and Brudil.
Duke Corpus: A swift wizard in yellow... Could it be Lady Fain, here to vanquish me once more?
Yellow Slugfolk: I have no idea who that is, sir.
Duke Corpus: Ah, it matters not. It may have been fifty years, two months, and twelve days since I could perform magic on my own... But the hour of my new body is nigh, and with it, my power!
Corpus laughs madly (with "HAR" SFX).
Duke Corpus: GIANNA!
Gianna looks up from opening the carnivorous plant's maw, causing the Red Slugfolk to drop onto the floor (with "THUD!" SFX)
Gianna: Yes, m'lord?
Duke Corpus: I wish to see my body. It shall be ready 'fore the dawn!
Red Slugfolk: Oof!

35 – A Head of Schedule

I remember reading that often, skulls were added to classical art to fill the space. I have to say, I can see why they specifically were picked: skulls throughout history have been a symbol of the most explored certainty in life, and have been displayed, subverted, and used as scares for generations.

Most importantly, though, skulls are just plain fun to draw!

On another note, I've been replaying a game called Castle Crashers that recently released the Painter Boss Paradise DLC. I have made an admittedly pretty rough playable Brudil Brinn!

...I should probably note this isn't sponsored; I just love the game and felt like it'd be a good fit for my gnome girl.

Comments and feedback are appreciated!
